From Decisions to ACTION!
Week of Transformative Conversations at UNGA 79
Ellyanne: Youngest Director, Climate Finance and Health Champion
From energizing discussions with leaders at Ernst & Young to inspiring dialogues with United to Beat Malaria, USAID, UNICEF, and Johnson & Johnson, UNGA 79 provided a dynamic platform for showcasing WearSpray’s potential in malaria prevention. While our research program is still in its early stages, Ellyanne Chlystun, our passionate youth advocate and environmental champion, introduced the initiative with great enthusiasm.
Throughout the week, Ellyanne was involved in critical conversations that extended far beyond malaria. She actively engaged in discussions on ocean conservation, pollution, child health, and a variety of impactful global issues. Her ability to connect with decision-makers who share our commitment to health innovation, environmental sustainability, and the well-being of future generations was a significant step forward.
Whether exploring collaborative partnerships to scale our research or exchanging ideas on broader sustainable health solutions, these conversations have opened exciting new possibilities for future collaborations and initiatives.

As Ellyanne often reminds us, it's not just about the decisions we make—it's about turning those decisions into meaningful action.
The future depends on our ability to move from ideas to implementation, and the time to act is now.
During her recent engagements, Ellyanne passionately discussed a range of topics, including environmental conservation, youth empowerment, and innovative strategies to combat malaria in Africa. She was thrilled to meet and collaborate with inspiring individuals who share her dedication to creating sustainable solutions for global health challenges.
As part of her ongoing efforts, Ellyanne co-authored a research paper on an innovative wearable mosquito repellent device aimed at addressing the issue of outdoor and day-biting mosquitoes. This initiative proposes a sustainable, user-friendly solution to reduce malaria transmission among vulnerable populations. The study outlines a comprehensive, data-driven plan for rigorous evaluation and potential large-scale implementation, adhering to the highest ethical and scientific standards.
